Welcome to
Idaho Wing of the Civil Air Patrol
Thank you for visiting our website and
welcome to the Idaho Wing of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP).
We are the official auxiliary of
the United States Air Force. Our Squadrons consists of both Cadets and Senior
Members. Today we support a dozen squadrons
around our great state of Idaho supporting over 200 Cadets and over 250 Seniors.
We take pride in our squadrons
and in our accomplishments across the spectrum of the three CAP missions of
Emergency Services, Cadet Programs and Aerospace Education. We continue to excel
and substantially contribute to the capability of the Rocky Mountain Region
because our members are dedicated, professional, and we enjoy what we do!
We offer you the opportunity to become involved with us, contribute your
talents, and refine your leadership and technical skills as we carry out our
very important missions.
Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is the volunteer Auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force with
64,000 adult and youth members nationwide. Members serve their communities
through three congressionally chartered missions: Aerospace Education,
Emergency Services and Cadet Programs.
CAP boasts the largest fleet of single-engine; piston aircraft in the world and
its search and rescue efforts save approximately 100 lives a year.
CAP also gives teenagers hands-on training in leadership,
teamwork, aerospace studies, and self-discipline.
Our cadets and senior members value integrity, character-building skills, and
active participation in meeting the needs of the communities we serve. We
hope you'll take a few minutes to look through our
website, become familiar with our work in our community and get to know us
better.
Best Regards,
